Injection Point

For any projects that are not near a gas pipeline, having an injection point that can have RNG transported to and injected into, make more projects financially viable. Gas line installation is very expensive, and injections points can be used for multiple projects in a geographic region.
On-farm Green Energy Bio-Methane production sites are dependent on:
Long-term off-take contracts are an essential item to secure financing
Source of off-farm organics must be assured and any tipping fees short and longer term negotiated
Capital cost investment is high, usually requiring partner Investors
Preference for projects that are nearby to existing local gas pipelines & that have adequate seasonal capacity for
Direct injection of planned production capacity
Smaller farm projects may require a few farms to share investment to be economically viable
Manure from several farms can be transported & processed at a common location
Extra trucking costs of manure to digester & return of digestate as fertilizer to partner farms
Host farm or separate site for processing must be located at a suitable injection location
Biogas and/or manure pumping via underground plastic lines is a possible option (within limited distances)
